#WalangPasok: Class Suspension for June 13

MANILA, Philippines – Some school administrators and local government units have announced class suspensions on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 due to the bad weather condition brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) enhanced by typhoon “Domeng” (Maliksi).

Here’s the list of class suspensions for Wednesday, June 13:

According to The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), typhoon “Domeng” (Maliksi) which is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will continue to enhance the Southewest Monsoon (Habagat) bringing heavy rains in different regions of the country.

This kind of weather condition is expected to continue until Thursday.

PAGASA RAINFALL WARNING

 

YELLOW – It means that there is a heavy rain and around 7.5 to 15 mm of rainfall has been observed in the past hour and is expected to continue in the next hour. Flooding is possible in low level areas and people are advised to MONITOR weather condition.

ORANGE – It means that there is an intense rain and around 15 to 30 mm of rainfall has been observed in the past hour and is expected to persist in the next hour. People are advised to be ALERT for possible evacuation due to high threat of flooding.

RED – It means emergency and serious flooding is expected especially in low lying areas. During red warning, more than 30mm of rainfall has been observed in the past hour and is expected to continue in the next hour. People are advised to EVACUATE if the “RED” warning is raised for long time.
